Lineage Societies of Lorain County Chapter
OGS Lineage Societies are a way
to honor our ancestors that came to Lorain County to help settle this land.
We have four different lineage societies and they can be found below. In
order to be considered for a Lorain County Lineage Society, you must first be
a member of the Lorain County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. A non-refundable
application fee of $25.00 is required to be submitted with your initial
application for each lineage group you apply to. Additional immediate family
members, children and grandchildren, are eligible to join at any time for an
additional $10 non-refundable fee per person applying. All supplemental
applications are $10 per application. A supplemental application is made
after the initial application has been approved. Example: After approval, you
find additional ancestors that would qualify. These ancestors would be
submitted as a supplemental application. The fee is applicable to all
applicants. All applications and
documentation must be in paper format only. No CD's of application or
documentation will be permitted except as a back-up file. Download the Guidelines
here (guidelines for all levels are
